General Questions

Do you charge for listings or have to pay to use Companions Guide?

No, we do not charge companions for having a listing on our directory and there is no payment system in place to use any part of the website. This website is FREE and will always remain FREE.

Why do you provide this service for free and how is it possible without charging fees to use the site?

We established Companions Guide because low-cost/no-cost advertising platforms that provide a good ROI(return on investment) for companions  are almost non-existent. Most advertising sites for companions take advantage of market conditions and simply exist to make a profit off your information and your vulnerability living and working in a highly stigmatized industry. They say their priority is to help those in this industry. This isn't true for the most part. They're concerned more about profiting off your information, not your safety or providing a service that gives you the best ROI possible. Companions Guide isn't set up to make $$$ off you and your information. We can offset costs to run the website by utilizing appropriate affiliate links. More information on How and Why we provide a free service.

Do you have any options for extra advertising?

No. Since we are a free service, there aren't any extra paid advertising options in place to give ads greater prominence and exposure. We do have "Featured" ad spots and a few other sections on the website where you might find targeted ads. But these are not paid options and are mostly just banners, images, links, and listings that are put up randomly by administrators.

What does "Independent" really mean when referring to escorts/companions?

Independent simply means that the companion makes their own decisions and isn't trafficked or under the guidance of an escort agency, pimp, or anyone else who speaks for them or makes decisions for them. At Companions Guide, we only list independent companions who have no affiliation with an escort agency or pimp, or show any signs of being exploited, trafficked, or coerced.

How do you verify companions, and how do you make sure they aren't being exploited, trafficked, or coerced?

At this time, we are an Invitation-Only directory. Verification is done on an individual basis.

Do you have any personal information on members listed here or stored in your database?

No. We have no personal information on any members listed anywhere on the website or stored in the database. We don't have any credit card info, because there are no fees associated with using the website, and we don't ask for any personal information through emails. Information you see posted on the public side is mostly what you will find in the database. The only things we do keep a record of are IP addresses and contact emails, which is no different than practically every other website in existence. That's it.

Who can I contact if I have a problem with the website or need to report something?

You can contact the site administrator with any problems or questions you have.

Directory Questions

How can I get listed on your directory?

We are very selective about the companions we allow to be listed on our directory. You must meet a few minimum requirements before even being considered for a listing. Being over the age of 21, having an established web presence, and being an Independent are just a few of the requirements. Find out more information about Listing Requirements.

How can I delete my listings and delete my account?

You can request to have your directory listings or your account at Companions Guide deleted at any time. You can delete directory listings or just have them disabled for a period of time. Or you can have your entire account profile deleted. Please keep in mind that deleting your account is permanent and can't be recovered. There is also no guarantee of being allowed back on the site once your account is deleted. To disable or delete your listings or delete your entire account, you must contact the site administrator.
